JBL AW295-BK 12" High-Power All-Weather Loudspeaker
The AW295-BK is a high-output speaker system designed for fixed installation in outdoor studio and broadcast facilities where durability and consistent performance are essential. Its heavy multilayer glass composite construction and stainless steel hardware deliver reliable operation across seasonal temperature swings and UV exposure, while the rotatable waveguide enables flexible placement—in corners or on flat surfaces—without compromising coverage uniformity or acoustic consistency.
Recording & Mixing Applications
Built around a JBL 2262H 12-inch Differential Drive dual voice coil woofer paired with a 2432H 1.5-inch compression driver, this speaker generates high SPL output for monitoring critical mixes in outdoor control rooms, live broadcast environments, and remote recording sessions. The 90° × 50° coverage pattern provides precise directional control, reducing room reflections and off-axis coloration—critical for accurate monitoring and mix translation in challenging acoustic spaces.
Construction & Durability
The heavily braced multilayer glass composite enclosure withstands temperature extremes and UV exposure without tonal degradation or structural compromise. A 14-gauge stainless steel grille backed with open cell foam and mesh protects drivers while maintaining acoustic transparency, and the included heavy-duty stainless steel U-type mounting bracket enables secure installation on flat surfaces or within 90° corners for optimal placement flexibility.

The JBL AW295-BK is a professional all-weather speaker designed for outdoor venue recording, live broadcast capture, and permanent installation monitoring rather than studio tracking. Its high SPL capability, precise directional coverage, and weather-resistant construction make it suited for capturing and monitoring live outdoor events, but it is not intended for home studio or controlled-room recording applications. This is the choice for engineers managing outdoor events, live streaming, or venue installations who need reliable, durable sound reinforcement.
