Ibanez BTB605 5 String Bass Transparent Gray Flat B-Stock

No—the BTB605 is designed for intermediate, advanced, and professional players. The 35-inch scale, narrow 47mm nut width, and active electronics are most comfortable for those with prior extended-range experience.

The BTB605 excels in funk, jazz, studio sessions, touring, and extended-range playing. Its articulate tone and tight low end make it less suited to punk or folk genres.

Yes. The 3-band active EQ features a 3-way mid frequency switch (250Hz, 450Hz, 700Hz), plus individual pickup volume controls and master tone, allowing surgical tonal adjustment from attack to character without coloration.

The neck is profiled at 47mm at the nut and 76mm at the 24th fret with a 400mm radius, graduated from 20mm thick at the 1st fret to 22mm at the 12th fret. This design balances comfortable reach on the extended low B with consistent articulation across all five strings.
