Sound & Tone
The solid Sitka spruce top over mahogany back and sides gives this dreadnought a warm, woody midrange with clear treble definition and the strong projection the body shape is known for, while the bone nut and saddle help the notes ring out with sustained clarity. The 25.6-inch scale keeps string tension firm enough for confident strumming without feeling stiff under the fingers. It handles flatpicked rhythm work in folk, country and rock settings with authority, and the balanced neck dimensions and 400mm fretboard radius make it equally comfortable for fingerstyle passages and detailed chord voicings.
Ibanez AW4000 BS Artwood Brown Sunburst Gloss Acoustic Guitar
The AW4000 BS captures articulate, full-bodied acoustic recordings with a balanced dreadnought design and responsive 651mm scale. Its comfortable satin-finished mahogany neck enables long tracking sessions without hand fatigue, while the carefully dimensioned neck profile maintains excellent string-to-fretboard clarity throughout the frequency range. The brown sunburst gloss finish shows some cosmetic wear on the neck side—visible in photos—but the structural integrity and playability remain excellent for a B-stock offering.
Tone & Recording Character
Built with a solid Sitka spruce top paired with mahogany back and sides, this guitar produces warm, defined midrange with clear articulation suited to layered production work. The tortoiseshell body binding and black & white ABS rosette contribute visual character, while the bone nut and saddle ensure consistent high-frequency definition and sustain that translates cleanly to multitrack recordings. The rosewood fretboard and 20-fret configuration support precise fingering across all playing positions, critical for consistent tone capture.
Playability & Tracking Consistency
The mahogany neck with satin finish provides frictionless hand movement essential for maintaining consistent picking dynamics and muting during recording sessions. Precise neck dimensions—43mm width at nut, 55mm at the 14th fret, with 21–22mm thickness—deliver a balanced grip that accommodates both fingerstyle passages and flatpicking rhythms without hand drift. The 400mm radius fretboard geometry naturally supports stable chord shapes and clean single-note articulation across varied playing techniques.
