ESP LTD XJ Series: Offsets for Heavy Tones

For recording heavy guitar parts, the ESP LTD XJ series brings useful traits to the session. Hardtail bridges keep tuning steady through long tracking days and repeated takes, which matters when you're stacking drop-tuned rhythm parts. Studio Gears carries the XJ-1 HT and XJ-2 HT as tools for producers chasing a modern rock sound.

Fishman Fluence pickups are the core of the series' recorded tone, offering the tight, clear low end that sits well in a dense mix. The baritone XJ-1 HT is a practical option for low-tuned layers, doubling riffs an octave down, or adding weight to a heavy arrangement without muddying the track. The offset body gives a different feel from the usual double-cut or single-cut tracking guitars.

Blast-style finishes in Silver Blast and Black Blast and the Snow White XJ-2 HT add visual personality to a studio, which suits content creators as well as engineers. With pricing from roughly $1,499 to $1,699, the XJ line fits home-studio owners and producers who need dependable, heavy-leaning guitar tones on tap.
