Sound & Tone
The mahogany body and set three-piece mahogany neck give this Snakebyte a thick, sustaining midrange, while the Macassar ebony fretboard and 24.75" scale keep note attack tight and defined under heavy palm muting. The EMG JH SET active humbuckers push high output with clear articulation, so chugging low riffs stay separated and lead lines cut through with a focused, compressed edge. With independent volume controls, a three-way toggle, extra-jumbo frets and a TonePros locking bridge for tuning stability, it's aimed squarely at metal and hard rock rhythm playing and sustained lead work, in a left-handed configuration.
ESP LTD James Hetfield Snakebyte Left-Handed Electric Guitar in Snow White
The Snakebyte is a left-handed instrument built on a thin U-contoured neck and 24.75" scale, engineered to capture aggressive tones with responsive control and comfortable access across the fretboard. Its set-neck construction delivers the sustain and resonance expected from a mahogany body and three-piece mahogany neck, while the distinctive Snow White finish and pearloid snake inlay provide striking visual character in studio sessions and live documentation. This is a guitar designed for producers and engineers tracking heavy material that demands both tonal authority and aesthetic clarity on camera.
Playability & Tracking Performance
The thin U neck contour with 350mm fingerboard radius and 42mm nut width enables precise articulation for both rhythm section tracking and lead overdubs, while the 22 extra-jumbo frets facilitate aggressive bending and sustained notes that sit clearly in a mix. Set-neck construction at a 24.75" scale maximizes sustain and tonal coherence, ensuring consistent capture across multiple takes and overdub sessions—critical for left-handed configurations matching right-handed performance standards.
Tone & Recording Electronics
The EMG JH SET active humbucker pickups deliver the high-output, articulate aggression essential for modern metal recording, controlled via a three-way toggle switch with independent volume controls for bridge and neck positions—useful for blending tonal character across different sections within a single session. TonePros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece with LTD locking tuners ensure rock-solid tuning stability and intonation precision across extended recording sessions and heavy riffing without drift or re-tracking needs.
