Sound & Tone
The 27" baritone scale keeps the seventh string tight and articulate, and the swamp ash body adds natural warmth and sustain so low riffs stay defined rather than muddy. Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers cover both ends of the spectrum, with the alnico neck pickup leaning warm and vocal for leads while the ceramic bridge unit delivers focused aggression for palm-muted rhythm work, and the push-pull coil split opens up thinner, cleaner voices. Paired with the Hipshot string-thru bridge and locking tuners, it's aimed squarely at modern metal, djent and progressive playing where tuning stability and low-end clarity matter.
ESP LTD SN-1007HT 7 String Baritone Lefty Guitar Black Blast
The SN-1007HT is engineered for left-handed producers and engineers tracking extended-range material with precision and speed. Its thin U-contoured neck and compound radius fingerboard enable rapid tracking sessions and overdub work, while the 27" baritone scale captures articulate, controlled low-end response across all seven strings—essential for layering heavy guitars without muddiness. Built on a swamp ash body that resonates with natural warmth and sustain, this instrument translates cleanly to tape and digital DAWs. The Black Blast sandblasted finish pairs professional aesthetics with roadworthy durability for studio and live capture.
Playability & Construction
A 5-piece roasted maple and purple heart neck provides exceptional stability across recording sessions and temperature changes—critical for maintaining consistent tuning during multi-take comping. The bolt-on construction with Macassar ebony fingerboard and 300-400mm compound radius supports comfortable tracking across all registers without fatigue, while twenty-two extra-jumbo stainless steel frets with scalloping from frets 17–22 ensure articulate single-note clarity during high-register passages. Mother-of-pearl dot inlays provide reliable visual reference during intense studio work.
Tone & Electronics
Dual Fishman Fluence Modern Humbuckers—alnico in the neck position for warm, articulate fundamentals and ceramic in the bridge for defined aggression—deliver the tonal flexibility needed across multiple song sections without rerecording. The push-pull tone control enabling single-coil splitting expands your sonic palette mid-session, while the Hipshot bridge with string-thru design and LTD locking tuners guarantee tuning stability throughout extended recording days and sustain consistency across takes.
