Description
Sound & Tone
The EMG 81 bridge and EMG 85 neck pairing gives this guitar a tight, high-output voice with cutting, articulate treble and warm, compressed low end, while the neck-through mahogany body with maple reinforcement and Macassar ebony fingerboard adds long sustain and a firm attack. The 24.75" scale keeps string tension relaxed and notes clearly defined, and the Floyd Rose 1000SE holds tuning through heavy vibrato and dive-bomb work. It's aimed squarely at modern rock and metal — palm-muted rhythm playing, fast lead runs up to the 24th fret, and any style that benefits from consistent, low-noise active output.
ESP LTD RS-1000 Pearl White Electric Guitar
The RS-1000 is engineered as a high-output tracking instrument for studio and live tracking applications. Its extra-thin U neck profile and 24-fret Macassar ebony fingerboard enable consistent, repeatable articulation across multiple takes. The neck-through mahogany construction with three-piece maple reinforcement delivers tight sustain and controlled resonance—critical for layering guitars in the mix without phase issues. Finished in striking Pearl White with a matching reverse headstock, the RS-1000 prioritizes recording clarity and session versatility.
Recording Response & Playability
The extra-thin U neck profile paired with a 350mm fingerboard radius ensures fast, consistent finger positioning—essential when tracking lead passes or punch-in overdubs. The 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets on a 24.75" scale length produce crisp, defined transients that translate clearly through mic'd amplifiers or direct recording chains. The neck-through construction eliminates tonal dead zones and body resonances that muddy multitrack stacks, allowing each tracked performance to occupy its own frequency space.
Studio Tracking & Signal Chain
The EMG 81 (bridge) and EMG 85 (neck) active pickups with direct-mount design deliver high-output signal that locks into interface preamps without excessive gain staging, critical for maintaining headroom during session work. The combination captures aggressive pick attack and controlled sustain across rhythm and lead applications. The master volume control and three-way toggle switch enable quick tonal pivots between rhythm tones and lead textures without re-tracking. The Floyd Rose 1000SE double-locking tremolo with stainless steel screws maintains pitch stability across recording sessions, reducing the need for pitch-corrected comps.
