Sound & Tone
The 27" baritone scale and neck-thru five-piece walnut/maple/padauk construction keep the lowest strings tight and defined, while the swamp ash body with quilted maple top adds an articulate attack and bright top end that helps complex chord voicings stay separated. The active Fishman Javier Reyes Open Core humbuckers, with voicing switched via mini-toggle and a 5-way super switch, cover percussive djent rhythm work at one extreme and clear, open cleans suited to ambient layering at the other. It's aimed squarely at extended-range progressive metal, low-tuned riffing, and studio players who need both aggression and clean detail from one instrument.
ESP LTD JR-608 Javier Reyes Guitar – Faded Blue Sunburst (B-Stock)
The ESP LTD JR-608 Javier Reyes delivers extended-range recording and production capability for home studios and professionals tracking modern progressive material. Co-designed by Animals As Leaders guitarist Javier Reyes, this 8-string baritone combines a 27" scale with a neck-thru 5-piece walnut/maple/padauk design for maximum sustain and rock-solid intonation across multi-take sessions. A resonant swamp ash body topped with quilted maple captures articulate attack and shimmering highs in the mix, while the sleek Macassar ebony fingerboard features a custom inlay pattern and glow-in-the-dark side markers for confident fretwork during overdubs and live-room recordings.
The matched set of Fishman Javier Reyes Open Core Signature humbuckers offers multiple voices via a dedicated mini-toggle—ranging from tight djent rhythm tones to open, expressive clean textures that sit naturally in dense mixes. A Hipshot string-thru bridge, LTD locking tuners, and a Graphtech Black TUSQ nut ensure fast tuning stability between takes and consistent tracking. Finished in Faded Blue Sunburst, this instrument excels in low-tuned metal production, progressive rock arrangements, ambient soundscapes, and demanding studio sessions.
B-Stock Notice: This is a B-Stock unit that is fully inspected and tested. It may have minor cosmetic blemishes that do not affect playability or tone. Includes the MYSTIQUE 8-String form-fit case.

The neck-thru construction and Hipshot bridge provide the stability and sustain these genres demand.
