Description

ESP LTD EX-200 Electric Guitar Olympic White

The EX-200 captures aggressive tones and articulate transients with its set-neck construction and mahogany body, delivering the sustain and resonance required for tracking hard rock, metal, and alternative material. The Thin U neck contour enables extended take sessions without fatigue, while the rosewood fingerboard supports precise intonation and expressive bending in overdubs and lead passes. The Olympic White finish presents a clean, versatile look in any studio setting. This is a reliable workhorse for tracking and layering demanding guitar parts.

Recording Playability & Consistency

The 24.75" scale length with 3-piece maple neck and Thin U contour reduces hand fatigue across long recording sessions, allowing you to focus on performance and tone rather than physical strain. The 350mm fingerboard radius and 22 XJ frets maintain consistent articulation for both aggressive rhythm tracking and dynamic lead work, while the 42mm molded nut ensures stable intonation from take to take.

Tone & Recording Electronics

Dual ESP LH-150 pickups (neck and bridge) capture punchy, articulate tones with impressive clarity and definition, ideal for cutting through dense mixes. The pull-tone coil-split functionality on both units expands your tonal palette within a single session, eliminating the need for multiple guitars during overdubs. The passive electronics layout with volume, tone (push/pull), and toggle switch provides straightforward, reliable control without active circuitry noise, while TOM bridge and tailpiece hardware maximize sustain for extended notes and layered parts.

Loving this guitar. Plays seated very well, great chug. I have seen online that people upgrade the pickups, but they sound great to me. It stays in tune and has beefy frets for harmonics. Studio Gears shipped it out very fast even though it was the week of Christmas. All around great experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

What neck profile does the EX-200 have, and is it fast enough for advanced players?

The EX-200 features a Thin U neck contour with a 24.75" scale length that accelerates playability across the fretboard. The 3-piece maple neck, 350mm fingerboard radius, and 22 XJ frets support smooth bends and aggressive techniques, making it suitable for beginners through advanced players.

Can I adjust the tone of these pickups?

Yes. Both the neck and bridge ESP LH-150 pickups include pull-tone coil-split functionality, which expands your sonic range from thick humbucker tones to thinner single-coil-like sounds. The passive electronics feature a push/pull tone control for additional tonal shaping.

Is this guitar good for jazz or blues?

The EX-200 is optimized for hard rock, metal, and alternative styles. Its punchy, articulate tone with clear bite and the coil-split voicing are less suited to traditional jazz and blues playing, which typically call for smoother, warmer tonal characteristics.

What hardware does the EX-200 use for sustain and tuning?

The guitar features a TOM bridge and tailpiece with black hardware to maximize sustain and resonance, paired with LTD tuners for reliable tuning stability across performances and practice sessions.

What is included with the guitar?

The EX-200 ships strung with D'Addario XL110 gauge strings and ready to play. It comes with the guitar, hardware, and tuning machines; refer to your purchase details for any included accessories or gig bag information.
