Description
Sound & Tone
The mahogany body with maple cap and set-thru mahogany neck give this single-cut a thick, sustaining midrange, while the Macassar ebony fingerboard and 24.75" scale keep note attack tight and defined. The active EMG 81 in the bridge brings compressed, high-gain aggression for metal rhythm work and cutting leads, and the EMG 60TW-R at the neck offers articulate clean and lead voicings plus a coil-split option via the push/pull tone for thinner, more open sounds. With the Evertune F-model bridge holding pitch under heavy picking and bends, it suits drop tunings, tight down-picked riffing, and studio work where intonation stability matters.
ESP LTD EC-1000ET Evertune Electric Guitar Bold Binding
The EC-1000ET delivers a thin U-profile neck and perfectly balanced weight distribution that reduce fatigue during extended tracking and overdub sessions. This set-thru construction guitar combines professional-grade hardware with the Evertune F-model bridge, which maintains perfect intonation across the entire fingerboard regardless of playing dynamics or tuning demands—critical for layering multiple takes and keeping your recordings locked. The bold metallic silver binding immediately announces this instrument's premium character while the satin black finish maintains a refined, workmanlike aesthetic that photographs and records with distinction.
Playability & Construction
Built on a set-thru mahogany neck with 3-piece construction, this guitar offers the stability and sustain essential for capturing consistent tones across a full production session. The 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets and 350mm fingerboard radius accommodate aggressive playing techniques and modern string bending without losing clarity on tape. The Macassar ebony fingerboard combined with a 42mm molded nut and thin U neck contour creates an ergonomic platform that reduces hand fatigue during long overdub stretches, keeping your performances tight and your tone consistent.
Recording Tone & Electronics
The pairing of EMG 60TW-R brushed chrome neck pickup with pull-tone splitting capability and EMG 81 brushed chrome bridge pickup delivers articulate high-end definition and aggressive low-end punch across all registers—capturing clarity in mix without unwanted muddiness. The active electronics layout—Bridge Volume, Neck Volume, Tone with push/pull, and toggle switch—provides surgical control over your tonal palette, letting you dial in the exact character needed for each track without unnecessary complexity.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Evertune bridge really keep the guitar in tune?
Yes. The Evertune F-model bridge is engineered to maintain perfect intonation across the fingerboard regardless of how hard you play or how extreme your tuning drops. It eliminates the tuning drift that typically happens with dynamic playing, making it ideal for studio sessions and live sets where retuning between songs or takes is impractical.
What skill level is this guitar for?
This is an intermediate-to-professional instrument. The thin U-profile neck, extra-jumbo frets, and 24.75-inch scale suit players with solid technique and experience handling aggressive playing styles. It's engineered for drop tunings and modern metal/hard-rock techniques, not beginner foundations.
What genres is this guitar best suited for?
Metal, hard rock, and progressive music are the sweet spot. The articulate EMG pickups and tight sustain excel in these contexts. Jazz, folk, and clean-tone-focused genres are not the guitar's intended voice.
What pickups come with this guitar?
An EMG 60TW-R brushed chrome neck pickup with pull-tone splitting and an EMG 81 brushed chrome bridge pickup. The 60TW-R delivers articulate definition, while the 81 provides aggressive low-end punch and high-output clarity for heavy playing.
Will this guitar work with standard and drop tunings?
Yes. The 24-extra-jumbo stainless steel frets, 350mm fingerboard radius, and set-thru mahogany neck construction handle both standard and extreme drop tunings reliably. The Evertune bridge keeps perfect intonation across any tuning you use.
