Sound & Tone
The mahogany body with maple cap and set-neck construction gives this Eclipse a thick, resonant midrange with long sustain, while the ebony fingerboard and 24.75" scale keep note attack tight and articulate. The EMG 57TW bridge and 66TW neck actives push clear, aggressive high-gain tones for hard rock and metal rhythm and lead work, and their push-pull coil-splitting thins things out to snappier single-coil voicings for cleans and lighter rhythm parts. Gotoh locking tuners and a TOM bridge hold tuning through heavy playing, and the left-handed build makes all of that available to lefty players.
ESP E-II Eclipse DB Lefty Guitar in Green Sparkle
The thin U-shaped mahogany neck on this left-handed E-II Eclipse DB delivers an exceptionally comfortable grip for extended tracking sessions and technical passages, while the set-neck construction and ebony fingerboard provide the responsiveness and sustain that capture compelling recordings. Built at ESP's Tokyo factory, this guitar combines premium materials with meticulous craftsmanship to create an instrument capable of studio-quality tones across a range of session applications. The satin-finished neck back ensures effortless playability during long studio days.
Tone & Electronics
EMG 66TW (neck) and EMG 57TW (bridge) active pickups deliver versatile tones from warm, articulate cleans to aggressive high-gain sounds suited to multiple recording contexts. Each pickup features coil-splitting via push-pull controls, allowing instant tonal switching between humbucker and single-coil voicings within a session—an intuitive electronics layout with bridge volume, neck volume, tone, and toggle switch supports workflow flexibility.
Construction & Hardware
The mahogany body with maple cap and set-neck construction create a resonant platform with excellent sustain and note definition for recording. High-end hardware—including Gotoh locking tuners, Gotoh TOM bridge and tailpiece, bone nut, and black nickel hardware—ensures tuning stability across multiple takes and long recording sessions. The guitar arrives strung with Elixir Nanoweb Light strings and includes an ESP hardshell form-fitting case.
