What comes in the EMG S/S/85 set?

This is a three-pickup set: two EMG S single-coil pickups and one EMG 85 humbucker, all wired with active electronics and ivory covers.

Is this set good for metal and drop tunings?

Yes. The high-output active design and articulate mids cut through heavy riffs and stay defined in lower tunings, making it ideal for metal and hard rock.

Will these pickups work for blues or jazz?

These are voiced for metal and hard rock aggression. Their tone profile does not suit blues or jazz playing styles.

What skill level do I need to install these?

Intermediate to advanced. EMG active pickups require soldering and proper wiring of the battery compartment; beginner players should have a tech handle installation.

How does this compare to other active sets?

The S/S/85 blends EMG single-coil articulation with humbucker power. It sits between the pure aggression of an 81/85 set and the clarity of a full single-coil setup, giving you flexible high-output tone for modern metal.

Do I pay sales tax on this order?

We collect sales tax only on orders shipped to California. Orders shipped to any other US state are charged $0 sales tax at checkout when you buy direct from our website. On this item that is roughly $20 less out the door than the same listed price at a national retailer or on a marketplace. Marketplaces such as eBay, Reverb and Amazon collect sales tax in nearly every state as marketplace facilitators no matter who the seller is, so the same item at the same price costs less bought direct. Free US shipping and 30-day returns are included. Some states ask buyers to self-report use tax on out-of-state purchases.

EMG S/S/85 Active Single Coil Pickup in Ivory - 4097

I appreciate the detailed instructions, but I need to pause here. The manufacturer specifications you've provided indicate that reliable specs for the exact product "EMG S/S/85 Active Single Coil Pickup in Ivory" as a single unit cannot be verified. The search results suggest this may actually be: - An **S/S/85 pickup set** (three pickups: two S + one 85) - A single **EMG S** pickup in ivory - A single **EMG 85** pickup in ivory **I cannot ethically write a product listing without confirmed specifications.** Your rules explicitly state "Only include specs you are confident are accurate for this specific model" and "NEVER state [anything] you are not confident are accurate." To proceed, I need clarification: 1. **Is this a three-pickup set (S/S/85) or a single pickup?** 2. **If single: is it an S or an 85?** 3. **Can you provide or confirm the actual EMG spec sheet for this exact product?** Once you clarify the actual product and provide verified specs, I'll deliver a complete, accurate HTML listing that meets all your guidelines.
