Description
EMG Revelation Passive Humbucker Pickup Set in White
The EMG Revelation passive humbuckers deliver a balanced, articulate response that sits naturally in the mix without coloration. Engineered for recording sessions demanding traditional humbucker character with modern clarity, this set pairs classic alnico construction with precise voicing to capture definition across both DI and miked tracking scenarios. The white cover finish complements contemporary and vintage guitar aesthetics alike.
Tonal Character & Specifications
Built with Alnico II magnets and precision-wound custom bobbins, the Revelation set produces controlled output with defined harmonic content optimized for mixing headroom. The neck pickup measures 13.8 KOhm DC resistance with an 8.00 Henry inductance, while the bridge pickup steps to 13.5 KOhm and 7.16 Henries, allowing both positions to maintain clarity across the frequency spectrum during multitrack sessions. Gauss ratings of 250 (neck) and 300 (bridge) establish responsive string tracking without excessive compression, preserving pick dynamics and fingerstyle nuance in the recorded signal.
Installation & Connectivity
Installation is straightforward thanks to EMG's solderless system, which includes all necessary components: two 500k volume potentiometers, two 500k tone potentiometers, stereo output jack, two-pickup bus, mounting hardware with springs, pickup and connect cables, and output cable. The 4-conductor design and covered stainless steel construction ensure longevity and shielding in studio and live environments alike.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes these pickups different from active EMG pickups?
The Revelation set is entirely passive—no batteries or onboard preamp required. They deliver traditional humbucker character with modern clarity using Alnico II magnets and precision-wound bobbins, producing controlled output that integrates naturally into any signal chain without the tonal coloration of active electronics.
Will these pickups work in my guitar?
These are 6-string humbucker pickups designed as a drop-in replacement for standard humbucker cavities. The complete solderless system includes all necessary potentiometers, wiring, and hardware, so installation works with most single-coil or humbucker-routed guitars without major modification.
Are these pickups suitable for metal or high-gain styles?
No—the Revelation set is voiced for blues, rock, hard rock, and jazz, with balanced output and articulate response that emphasize clarity over aggression. Players seeking high-compression metal or djent tones should look toward higher-output alternatives.
What's included in the installation system?
The package includes two volume potentiometers, two tone potentiometers, a stereo output jack, pickup bus, mounting hardware with springs, pickup and connect cables, and an output cable. Everything needed for a complete solderless installation is included.
How do the neck and bridge pickups differ?
The neck pickup measures 13.8 KOhm with 250 Gauss, while the bridge steps to 13.5 KOhm with 300 Gauss, allowing both positions to maintain clarity and responsive string tracking across the frequency spectrum without one position overpowering the other.
Do I pay sales tax on this order?
Sales tax is collected only on orders shipped to California; orders shipped to any other US state are not charged sales tax at checkout when you buy direct from our website. At a typical 7% rate that is an estimated $16 less at checkout than the same listed price on a marketplace, which collects sales tax as the facilitator in most states.
