Description
EMG Revelation Passive Humbucker Pickup Set in Black
The EMG Revelation passive humbucker set captures warm, balanced tones ideal for recording sessions without active circuitry or battery dependency. These pickups combine classic alnico construction with modern precision winding, delivering articulate mid-range clarity and natural sustain—essential for sitting cleanly in dense mixes and maintaining definition across layered tracks. The included solderless wiring system eliminates installation friction, letting you focus on tracking and tone-shaping rather than technical setup.
Tone & Magnetic Response
Alnico 2 magnets paired with measured gauss output—250 at the neck, 300 at the bridge—produce responsive, dynamic voicing with smooth high-end roll-off. DC resistance figures of 13.8K (neck) and 13.5K (bridge) keep the pickup set in the mid-output range, preserving note definition and articulation across all six strings while remaining sensitive to pick dynamics and finger technique. This balanced response translates to cleaner recording tracks with natural transient capture and controlled headroom.
Installation & Wiring Convenience
The solderless system ships with all necessary components: dual 500k volume and tone potentiometers, stereo output jack, two-pickup in/out bus, mounting hardware, and connecting cables. No soldering required—simply insert the color-coded connectors and secure the pickups in your instrument, making this set accessible for users of any technical skill level and speeding up instrument preparation before sessions.

No. The Revelation set is fully passive with alnico 2 magnets and no active circuitry, so there's no battery to change or electronics to power.
Will I need to solder these pickups in?
No soldering required. The set includes a complete solderless wiring system with color-coded connectors, 500k volume and tone pots, stereo jack, and all mounting hardware—just connect the cables and secure the pickups.
What's the output level, and how will it sit in a band or recording mix?
