EMG Revelation Long Shaft Passive Humbucker Pickup Set in Black Chrome
The EMG Revelation passive humbucker set captures classic, articulate tone without requiring a battery or preamp—ideal for tracking recordings that demand straightforward vintage character. These covered humbuckers combine Alnico II magnets with precision-wound construction to produce balanced output across neck and bridge positions, translating to consistent capture and mix-friendly response in the studio. The included solderless wiring harness and potentiometer package streamline installation on any compatible instrument.
Tone & Recording Response
Built with Alnico II magnets and covered coils, the Revelation set voices warm, defined tones with natural compression characteristic of passive designs—qualities that sit well in dense arrangements without requiring heavy post-processing. The matched 13.5K bridge and 13.8K neck resistance ensures even response across both pickups, delivering predictable tracking performance and transparent signal flow into your audio interface. The 4-conductor plus shield wiring supports both single-coil and series/parallel switching options, enabling quick tonal adjustments between takes without re-tracking.
Studio Setup & Workflow
This set ships with a complete solderless harness eliminating the need to solder connections—two 500k volume pots, two 500k tone pots, stereo output jack, pickup bus connector, mounting hardware, and all necessary connecting cables are included. The long-shaft design accommodates standard guitar controls, and mounting screws with springs provide secure, noise-free installation that keeps session focus on performance rather than troubleshooting.
