Description
EMG JV Split Shaft Active Bass Pickup Set in Black
The EMG JV captures punchy, articulate bass tone with the noise floor control of active circuitry and the installation ease of EMG's solder-less system. This set pairs neck and bridge pickups with split-shaft controls, enabling independent volume and tone shaping for sculpting your bass character across session work without the complexity of traditional wiring.
Pickup Design & Specifications
Neck and bridge pickups feature traditional exposed pole pieces and active circuitry voiced for clarity and headroom in the mix. The neck pickup measures 3.59" × 0.73" while the bridge extends to 3.7" × 0.73", sized to fit standard bass routes with balanced harmonic content across both positions for consistent tracking and blending in production.
Electronics & Installation
Active operation draws from a single 9-volt battery, connected through the included battery bus for streamlined power management during sessions. EMG's solder-less install system eliminates soldering entirely—the included 6.35mm jack connector and pre-terminated cables connect directly to the included potentiometers and output jack, minimizing setup time and wiring errors so you can focus on tracking and recording.
