Description
EMG H Long Shaft Active Single Coil Pickup in Chrome
The EMG H captures articulate, responsive single-coil character in a compact humbucker form factor, making it ideal for home studios and recording sessions where clarity and definition are essential without sacrificing output or noise rejection. This chrome-finished variant combines EMG's signature active electronics with the vintage-inspired voicing that defines the H platform. The long-shaft configuration ensures compatibility with standard pickup cavities while maintaining the refined performance EMG is known for.
Recording Performance & Output
Active circuitry powered by a 9V battery delivers consistent gain and low noise floor across all playing dynamics, while the single-coil design preserves the bright, articulate midrange presence that recording applications demand. The active preamp maintains full output level regardless of cable length or impedance, making this pickup dependable through audio interfaces, mixing consoles, and complex signal chains during tracking and overdubs.
Construction & Installation
Built with chrome-plated hardware for durability and aesthetic consistency, the pickup integrates seamlessly into existing humbucker-routed cavities via its long-shaft design. Standard EMG wiring and connector compatibility ensure straightforward installation without modification to most instruments, letting you start recording faster.
