EMG 81X Long Shaft Active Humbucker Pickup in Red
The EMG 81X is engineered for recording and mixing environments where articulate, noise-free tracking takes priority. This red-finished active humbucker maintains tight definition and clarity even when layered with heavy processing or stacked in dense arrangements. The long shaft configuration accommodates standard pot installations without modification, simplifying integration into existing studio setups.
Tone & Output
The 81X produces a focused midrange punch with controlled low-end response, engineered to maintain definition at high gain levels. Active circuitry ensures consistent output and minimal noise floor, delivering tight articulation ideal for fast lead work and percussive rhythm playing. In the mix, this pickup sits cleanly without muddiness, making it reliable for overdubbing sessions where consistency matters across multiple takes.
