Description
EMG 58 Long Shaft Active Humbucker Pickup in Brushed Chrome
The EMG 58 captures articulate, punchy character with the responsiveness of active circuitry—ideal for tracking and mixing in home studios. This long shaft variant in brushed chrome sits flush in modern pickup cavities while maintaining the tight, controlled output that active systems are known for. Built to deliver definition across classic rock to contemporary heavy styles, it tracks with clarity and sits cleanly in dense mixes without muddiness.
Active Design & Electronics
The built-in preamp operates on minimal power draw, keeping battery life practical during extended recording sessions. Low impedance design preserves signal clarity and reduces noise, allowing the pickup's articulate response to cut through dense mix contexts without sacrificing definition or introducing unwanted coloration.
Installation & Setup
The included solderless installation system streamlines the swap—no iron required. The package includes a 25k volume pot, 25k tone pot, battery bus, stereo output jack, mounting hardware, and connecting cables, making this a complete drop-in solution for compatible instruments and enabling quick reconfiguration across session needs.
