Frequently asked questions
Which guitar is better for drop tunings?
The Omen Elite-7 excels in extreme drop tunings thanks to its 26.5" scale and seven-string format, while the Damien-6 FR handles standard 6-string drops effectively but lacks the extended-range capability and longer scale of the 7-string.
What's the main playability difference?
Both feature identical thin C-profile necks (.787" at 1st fret), but the Omen Elite-7's longer 26.5" scale and seven-string spacing suit extended-range techniques, while the Damien-6 FR's 25.5" scale and Floyd Rose tremolo are optimized for traditional 6-string metal and hard rock.
Why is the Damien-6 FR cheaper if it has a Floyd Rose?
The Damien-6 FR is listed as B-stock (cosmetic imperfection or returned unit) rather than new, which accounts for the reduced price despite the premium Floyd Rose Special bridge.
Are the pickups the same in both guitars?
Both use Schecter Diamond Heretic passive humbuckers, but the Omen Elite-7 pairs them in a dual configuration optimized for seven-string clarity, while the Damien-6 FR's pickups are tuned for high-output aggression on a 6-string platform.
