Frequently asked questions
Which guitar suits metal and djent players better?
The Omen Elite-6 is purpose-built for metal and djent with its high-output Heretic 6 humbuckers, hardtail bridge for maximum sustain, and tight, controlled voicing. The Extreme-6's warmer tone and more balanced pickups are better suited to classic and modern rock.
Are the neck and fretboard specs identical?
Both feature thin C-profile maple necks, 24 X-Jumbo frets, 14-inch radius rosewood fingerboards, 25.5-inch scale length, and Graph Tech XL Tusq nuts at 1.653 inches width. The playing feel and ergonomics are virtually identical between the two.
What's the main difference in bridge design and why does it matter?
The Extreme-6 uses a Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-thru, offering classic tuning stability and the flexibility to adjust intonation independently. The Elite-6 uses a Custom Hardtail bridge with string-thru, which maximizes sustain and reduces moving parts for more direct energy transfer to the body.
Which B-Stock unit is the better value?
Both are mid-tier priced and represent good value as B-Stock units with full specifications. Choose based on your tone preference and playing style rather than price, as they occupy the same market position.
