Frequently asked questions
What's the main difference in string count and scale length?
The Omen Extreme-6 has six strings with a 25.5" scale; the Damien-7 has seven strings with a 26.5" scale. The longer scale on the Damien-7 is optimized for lower tunings and extended range playing.
Which guitar suits drop tunings and progressive metal better?
The Damien-7 is purpose-built for drop tunings and progressive styles with its seventh string and longer scale. The Omen Extreme-6 works for heavy music but is designed around standard six-string tuning ranges.
How do the pickups compare in character?
The Omen Extreme-6 uses Schecter Diamond Plus pickups for consistent, stage-ready tone with straightforward controls. The Damien-7 uses Schecter Diamond Heretic pickups, which are voiced for thick, articulate output with inherent sustain and are tailored to aggressive seven-string playing.
Which neck profile feels faster and easier for extended playing?
Both feature thin 'C' profiles, but the Damien-7 adds carbon fiber reinforcement rods for added rigidity and reduced hand fatigue. For pure speed and comfort on very long sessions, the Damien-7 has a slight edge, though both are designed for advanced players.
