Frequently asked questions
Can the MTC-440SG grille work with the ASB6112 subwoofer?
No. The MTC-440SG is a replacement grille for JBL Control line ceiling speakers. The ASB6112 is a powered subwoofer with its own enclosure and does not use this grille.
What is the price difference and which offers better value?
The ASB6112 is priced in the high tier and is a complete powered subwoofer system; the MTC-440SG is budget-tier and is only a replacement part. Value depends entirely on your need: a primary bass component versus maintenance accessories for existing ceiling speakers.
Are these products compatible with the same audio systems?
No. The ASB6112 is standalone or paired with main speakers and a mixer/amplifier for live sound and studio use. The MTC-440SG is an aesthetic and protective accessory for installed commercial ceiling speakers in different applications.
Which product is suitable for a small live venue?
Only the ASB6112 is relevant for live venue bass reinforcement. The MTC-440SG is not an audio component and has no role in sound reinforcement.
