Frequently asked questions
Can I use the 3730-M/HF without buying the bass cabinet (3739)?
No. The 3730-M/HF is the mid-high section only and requires the dual-15 bass cabinet (model 3739) sold separately to form a complete system. It is designed for fixed cinema installations where the two sections integrate acoustically as one loudspeaker.
Which system works for outdoor events or touring?
Only the EON ONE MK2 is designed for portability and touring. It has a built-in rechargeable battery, weighs 42.5 lbs, and requires no external amplifier or mixer. The 3730-M/HF is a cinema component requiring permanent installation, external amplification, and AC power.
What is the key frequency-response difference?
The 3730-M/HF focuses on midrange clarity and treble articulation via a 6.5-inch cone and compression-driven horn (crossovers at 450 Hz and 2 kHz), optimized for speech and music in theaters. The EON ONE MK2 delivers full-range balanced output from 37–20 kHz with a 10-inch woofer and 8 × 2-inch tweeter array, suited for general-purpose live PA.
How much amplifier power do I need for the 3730-M/HF?
The 3730-M/HF has a 125 W AES 2-hour power rating and 105 dB sensitivity, making it very efficient for cinema use. You will need a separate professional amplifier; the exact wattage depends on your venue size and desired headroom, but efficiency reduces amplifier demands significantly.
