Frequently Asked Questions
What does PoE connectivity mean, and why does it matter?
PoE (Power over Ethernet) delivers both power and data through a single network cable, eliminating the need for a separate power outlet at the keypad's location. This simplifies installation in permanent setups, reduces cable clutter, and ensures the keypad stays powered as long as your network infrastructure is running.
Can I customize what each button does?
Yes. All eight buttons are fully programmable, and the rotary encoder can be assigned to continuous parameter adjustment. The full-color LCD display supports multi-state images, so you can label buttons and layers with custom text and graphics for your specific workflow.
What audio systems is this compatible with?
The keypad communicates via HARMAN HControl protocol, ensuring compatibility with professional networked audio systems that support that standard. It integrates with enterprise-grade AV and audio infrastructure used in installed venues, studios, and broadcast facilities.
Is this suitable for temporary live sound setups, or is it install-only?
This keypad is designed for permanent wall-mounted installations in networked environments. It requires PoE infrastructure and HARMAN HControl integration, making it best suited for fixed venues, installed studios, and control rooms rather than portable touring rigs.
What kind of mounting does it support?
The keypad is wall-mount compatible with standard worldwide single-gang electrical boxes, making it a familiar fit for professional installations in control rooms, broadcast facilities, and venue back-of-house.
