Sound & Tone
The Buckskin Redwood top gives this dreadnought a clear, sustaining voice with quick response to a light fingerstyle touch, while the Esperanza Brazilian Rosewood back and sides add depth and complexity beneath the full-size body's projection. The sloped cutaway keeps that dreadnought resonance intact while opening up the upper frets, so melodic work and open-position strumming both sit comfortably under the fast neck profile. Plugged in, the L.R. Baggs Anthem system reproduces the guitar's natural acoustic character rather than reshaping it, suiting fingerstyle players, singer-songwriters, and anyone moving between solo practice and amplified performance.
Bedell LTD Dreadnought Cutaway Buckskin Redwood–Esperanza Brazilian Rosewood
This Bedell LTD cutaway dreadnought tracks fingerstyle passages with responsive dynamics, its sloped cutaway design and fast neck profile enabling intuitive upper-fret articulation without compromising the resonant low-end foundation of a full dreadnought. The premium tonewood selection and ergonomic design make this instrument ideal for tracking sessions where both extended playing comfort and consistent acoustic character are essential to capturing the performance.
Tone & Recording Character
The Buckskin Redwood top paired with Esperanza Brazilian Rosewood back and sides produces a tonal signature defined by articulate midrange and natural sustain—qualities that cut through a mix and record with dimensional clarity. The built-in L.R. Baggs Anthem electronics deliver transparent amplification for direct input, preserving the instrument's acoustic integrity during layering and overdub work.
Session Versatility & Build
The sloped cutaway design removes fret-access constraints during complex passage tracking while maintaining the structural integrity and harmonic output expected from a dreadnought platform. The fast neck profile streamlines chord voicing changes and single-note melodic work across extended sessions without fatigue.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between this cutaway dreadnought and a standard dreadnought?
The sloped cutaway design allows seamless access to upper frets while preserving the full body resonance and structural integrity of a dreadnought, making it easier to play lead lines and extended chord voicings without losing the instrument's projection and low-end authority.
How does the L.R. Baggs Anthem electronics system affect the acoustic tone?
The Anthem system provides transparent amplification designed to preserve your acoustic voice without coloration, making it ideal for performers and recording engineers who need reliable pickup response that doesn't alter the instrument's natural character.
Who is this guitar best suited for?
This instrument is designed for intermediate to professional fingerstyle players, folk musicians, and studio engineers who perform live or record in acoustic-focused genres and need both dreadnought resonance and upper-fret accessibility in one tool.
What tone should I expect from the Buckskin Redwood and Esperanza Brazilian Rosewood combination?
This pairing delivers clarity and extended sustain with the warm character typical of Brazilian Rosewood, all while maintaining the full-bodied dreadnought resonance that projects well on stage and in studio recording environments.
Is the neck profile comfortable for extended playing sessions?
Yes—the fast neck profile is designed to facilitate comfortable chord voicings and single-note work across the entire fingerboard, supporting long playing sessions without hand fatigue.
