Frequently asked questions
Which is better for metal?
The C-6 FR Deluxe is specifically optimized for metal with its high-output pickups, thick punchy tone, and Floyd Rose tremolo system. The Omen Extreme-6 suits classic hard rock but lacks the tremolo and aggressive tonal focus of the C-6 FR.
What's the main hardware difference?
The C-6 FR Deluxe includes a Floyd Rose licensed floating tremolo bridge for pitch control, while the Omen Extreme-6 uses a traditional Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-thru body for fixed tuning stability.
How do the tones compare?
The Omen Extreme-6's mahogany and quilted maple combination produces warm midrange with balanced presence. The C-6 FR Deluxe's basswood body with high-output pickups delivers thicker, punchier tone with more clarity and resonance suited to modern styles.
Is the B-stock Omen Extreme-6 a good value?
Yes—B-stock means cosmetic imperfections only, not structural issues. You get the same playability and tone as a new unit at a lower price, making it excellent value if you don't require pristine appearance.
