Frequently asked questions
Which is better for drop tunings and heavy djent?
The Damien-6 FR is purpose-built for drop tunings with its Floyd Rose Special bridge, which locks tuning during extreme bending and whammy effects. The Omen Extreme-6's Tune-O-Matic is stable for standard tunings but less suited to frequent detuning.
How do the pickups differ in tone character?
The Omen's Diamond Plus pickups deliver balanced, articulate highs with muscular lows—versatile for rock and studio work. The Damien's Diamond Heretic pickups are higher-output and voiced specifically for aggressive, gain-ready metal applications.
Are the neck profiles really identical?
Yes, both feature an identical thin C-profile measuring 0.787 inches at the 1st fret and 0.866 inches at the 12th, paired with a 25.5-inch scale and 14-inch fretboard radius for speed and comfort.
What does B-stock mean on the Damien-6 FR?
B-stock indicates the unit may have minor cosmetic imperfections or packaging damage but is fully functional and playable. It carries the same electronics, hardware, and playability as a new unit at a reduced price.
