Frequently asked questions
What is the main playability difference between these guitars?
The RG550 has the ultra-thin 17mm Super Wizard neck optimized purely for speed and shred technique. The Q547PB uses a balanced Wizard C-7 profile with a headless design that reduces weight and neck dive—more ergonomic for extended sessions but not specifically a speed-focused geometry.
Can I use the RG550 for low-tuned metal or djent?
The RG550 is a 6-string 25.25-inch scale guitar suitable for standard or lower tunings within reason, but it lacks the extended low-end clarity and seven-string voicing of the Q547PB. The Q547PB is purpose-built for drop-tuning and extended-range work.
Which has more tonal flexibility?
The Q547PB offers nine tonal configurations via its dyna-MIX9 switching system, compared to the RG550's 5-way selector. For studio use and genre-switching, the Q547PB provides significantly more on-board tone sculpting.
What is the condition difference between B-Stock and Open Box?
B-Stock indicates minor cosmetic inconsistencies with zero playability impact after professional inspection. Open Box typically means the item was returned or displayed; both are fully functional but not factory-sealed.
