The 20" HHX Dominator is a dark China cymbal engineered to respond immediately with a quick, cutting attack and uninhibited trashy character. Designed in collaboration with Drumming's Global Ambassador Dom Famularo, this cymbal delivers the loose, open feel that comes from striking both sides of the bell without restraint. The distinctive wavy edge and raw bell give this China a visual presence that matches its aggressive, articulate voice.

Construction & Design

Built from B20 bronze with a brilliant finish, the Dominator features a proprietary lathing process applied to the top surface that reduces tension at the lip—emulating the effect of years of two-sided playing. The raw bell and larger HHX hammering create a freer response that opens quickly without excessive control or damping, producing the signature wavy edge profile.

This cymbal cuts through dense arrangements with a dark, trashy sound ideal for hard-hitting drum recordings and cutting through complex mixes.
