First Ibanez bass

This is the first bass I ever bought brand new and first Ibanez. My previous bass, which I used professionally, was a 1965 Mosrite Ventures model. Pros: This Ibanez is much lighter than my previous bass, which is a big plus. I appreciate the newer style electronics that allow so many variations on the sound. I am happy how it sounds and feels comfortable to play. It is nice looking and seems simple to make adjustments for string height and intonation. Did I mention the sound? It seems you can get any style sound you want. A minor con: The fret ends are not as smooth as I expected. When running my fingers along the fretboard edges, I feel several rough fret edges on either side of the fretboard. Almost like a step was missed in final assembly. Thus I dropped one star for quality. It won’t hinder me from playing this bass, however, and is not hard to fix if I need to.
