This incredible lens offers exceptional optical performance and a 28 – 500mm focal length range (56 – 1000mm with the 2X extender), while providing the same control interface used by our existing remote control lenses. This will enable the lens to be perfectly compatible with existing pro-video and broadcast pan-tilt systems.All eight of Canon’s HDTV and SDTV broadcast grade remote control lenses are offered in two versions known as “RE” and “ME”. The ME version lenses feature a manually operated built-in 2X extender while the RE version offers a motorized built-in 2X extender
